This purification catalyst is chemically composed of CuO and Al2O3. It is a new type of arsine adsorbent that can be used at room temperature or low temperatures (below 100°C).
It effectively removes arsine and alkyl arsenic compounds from raw naphtha and liquid hydrocarbons, as well as reactive sulfides (hydrogen sulfide, mercaptans). Thearsine adsorbent has strong arsenic removal capability and high compressive strength, making it suitable for de-arsenic processes in polypropylene units, ethylene units, and reforming units. High water and sulfur content in the raw materials can affect the de-arsenic efficiency.
Industrial Application and Prospects:
BR Sorb room temperature arsine adsorbent has been used in the arsenic removal processes of polypropylene units in several domestic refineries, including Yanshan Petrochemical, Zhenhai Refining, Huizhou Petrochemical, Yangzi Petrochemical, and Guangzhou Petrochemical. It meets the purification requirements of raw propylene and is a promising new type of arsine adsorbent.
Packaging and Storage:
BR Sorb room temperature arsine adsorbent is packaged in iron drums (lined with plastic bags), each with a net weight of 35 kg. The product must be kept dry and should not come into contact with other chemicals. Care should be taken during transportation and handling to prevent dropping, rolling, or collisions. It can be stored sealed for 3–5 years without affecting its use.
